Your panel is where every circuit in the house starts. When it is old, full or the wrong size for how you live now, you feel it: breakers that trip, no room for the new circuit you need, or a home inspector who flags it before a sale.
We replace panels and upgrade service for homes across DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will counties. We check what your home actually draws, tell you honestly whether you need a bigger service or just a better panel, and handle the permit and inspection when your village requires one.
Signs you need this
- You still have a fuse box, or a mix of fuses and breakers
- Breakers trip often, or one feels warm
- There are no open slots left for a new circuit
- You are adding an EV charger, hot tub, addition or a big appliance
- Your panel is a Federal Pacific (Stab-Lok) or Zinsco
- A home inspector or insurer flagged the panel
Questions
Do I need 200 amps?
Not always. We look at what you run today and what you plan to add (EV charger, AC, electric range, hot tub) and do the load math. Some homes only need a new panel with more spaces; others need a service upgrade.
How long is the power off?
Most panel swaps are done in a day. For a service upgrade your utility has to disconnect and reconnect power, so we coordinate that timing with you in advance.
Do you handle the permit?
Yes. Panel replacements and service upgrades usually need one. We pull it and are there for the inspection.
